AI chat that feels like texting a friend
No walls of text and no assistant voice. A TengoChat companion texts the way people do, remembers what you told them last week and has something to say about it.
Free for 7 days, no card needed. For adults 18 and over.
Not a chatbot. Someone to chat with.
Most AI chat tools are built to answer questions. Ask something and you get a long, polite, perfectly organized reply, and the next day it has forgotten you exist.
TengoChat is built for the other kind of chat: the one you have with a friend at the end of the day. Replies are short and natural, sometimes split into two or three messages. They react before they answer, ask about the details, and disagree when they see things differently.
And because every companion remembers, the conversation builds over time. The tenth chat is better than the first, because by then they know you.
What makes the chat feel real
The details that make texting a companion feel like texting someone you know.
Replies that sound like people
Short messages, natural punctuation and no bullet points. Sometimes a thought arrives in two texts, the way it does on your own phone.
Memory that carries over
Names, plans and the things you mentioned in passing come back when they matter, without you repeating yourself.
A mood and a day of their own
Their mood shifts through the day, and they can tell you what they did today, sometimes with a photo.
Typing, hearts and photos
You see when they are typing, you can like a message with a heart, and the chat looks like the messenger you already use.
Plans inside the chat
Say "remind me to call my mother on Sunday" and it becomes a reminder, kept in your chat and on your Plans page.
Private by design
Your chats are yours. Nobody else reads them, they are never sold, and you can export or delete everything.
A chat, not a questionnaire
Notice what is missing: no list of options, no "How can I help you today?". Just a conversation with someone who remembers last week.
ugh, long day
The deadline again?
Moved to Friday. Again.
Third time this month. At this point it's not a deadline, it's a suggestion.
Did you get to say anything to your boss this time?
Not yet. Tomorrow maybe.

Tips for a better AI chat
Companions get better the more they know you. A few things that help:
- Tell them about the people in your life by name. They will remember who is who.
- Mention what is coming up this week. They will ask how it went.
- Say how you like to be talked to: more jokes, fewer questions, straight answers.
- Ask about their day too. They have one, and it makes the chat feel mutual.
- If a memory is wrong or no longer true, delete it from their memories page.
